Leptothorax — род муравьёв насчитывающий около 30 видов. Ранее в широкой трактовке включал в себя род Temnothorax (более 300 видов). Некоторые виды названы в честь известных мирмекологов, например, Leptothorax buschingeri, Leptothorax faberi, Leptothorax goesswaldi, Leptothorax kutteri, Leptothorax manni и Leptothorax wilsoni[1][2].
